Los Angeles says farewell to the X Games

If you have a teenager or are a fan of extreme sports yourself, you know that the Summer X Games has been a fixture in Los Angeles for the past decade. The event focuses on extreme and action sports like skateboarding, motocross and BMX (bicycle motocross). The Games, which will take place August 1 through 4, is the final leg of a special Summer X Games that included the international cities of Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, Barcelona, Spain and Munich, Germany. This will be Los Angeles' last year hosting the event, which will move to Austin, Texas next year. While you're staying at your Los Angeles vacation rental, be sure to check out the X Games in its long-time home.
